Thing 20 - You Tube
I may have looked at videos that were added from YouTube but I have not really explored You Tube before!
I searched where I live and came up with some interesteing videos and to see faces and places I know. There is alot of info out there that I just didn't realise was available.
In future I may use this as part of my search technique 'cause I just thougt YOuTube was full of silly things for young ones. Alot of videos that are not so good either, I presume!

From the library perspective, I would recommend it as a learning tool. The visual aspect would be of great benefit. Look at such 'n' such, this is how it works or looks.

Check out video I selected below. I was checking out camera bags and was wanting camera /travel bag all in one. I like this because I can see the video and comprehend how big it is. I may get one of these.

Thing 19 - Your choice

We had to have a look at the Web 2.0 awards and nominees.  That was interesting. I had a look at quite a few. Ones for travel and all  sorts of topics that interested me.  I looked at the awards for  books.  The Worldcat would definetly be useful for libraries and the Biblio if you were searching for that  odd book to add to your library.
Having a 'start page' for fyour personal use could be worthwhile. To have all your favourite sites linked to your start page would be handy for access and ready reference.  Just have to set it up!

All together interesting!

Thing 18 - Online Productivity tools

Had a look at Zoho Writer and Google docs. Took the tour at Google docs.  I made an account at Google docs and uploaded one of my assignments to it.  I gave permission for 2 people to view my docs and tried a couple of things.

This is a great application.   As a student myself, this could be very handy.  Don't need to use extra devices to store info on although it is wise to have more than one storage place. It is accessilbe for your teacher/tutor to check out whoever you allow.  The teacher can also make comments on the side, and then  you can fix them.  When your on the move, say travelling,  be great for that.

Could be good for choosing templates too.  I had a quick look at them and found interesting examples. Plenty there to look at.

Overall, great application.
